Accident & Emergency Nursing

A & E nurses are in charge of treating patients who come to the emergency department of a hospital. Their job is always unpredictable, and they never know what to expect from the people coming through the Emergency Room doors. It could be people who’ve experienced a heart attack, who’ve been shot or who were in a car accident. So, if you are quick to think on your feet, if you don’t mind the pressure and the unpredictability, this career path might be right for you. One thing is sure. You will not get bored on a shift-to-shift basis.

The duration of this specialty Nursing program is 12 months, 2 semesters program. Our Accident & Emergency Nursing programme is Accredited and approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) in May 2026 and is run by Soarstar College of Nursing Sciences. Furthermore, upon graduation students will be licensed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and work as a Registered Accident & Emergency Nurse in Nigeria.

This program is design for Registered Nurses with at least 1 year work experience.

Admission is Open for September/October 2026 intake. Candidate seeking admission into this program must be a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and have minimum of five (5) 0’Level credits passes in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Mathematics at not more than two sittings in either WAEC/WASSCE, NECO OR WAHEB.
